Gianfranco Ferre Sunglasses

One of the leaders in the fashion revolution was Gianfranco Ferre. His sudden death on June 17th, 2007 came as a shock to those who were firm believers in his designs and lines of clothing and accessories.
Gianfranco Ferre was viewed as the ""architect of fashion", due to his input towards creating fashion design. Ferre was born in Legnano, Italy, and later received a degree in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano University. After graduating in 1969, Ferre started his life in the fashion industry by designing various accessories, and then became a raincoat designer from 1972 to 1974. He then started his own collection for women in 1978 and for men in 1982.
Gianfranco Ferre became the ?Stylistic Director' for Christian Dior in 1989, which was ended in 1997 during the Spring collection. Ferre's line of clothing and accessories are very different than Dior's, with function and practicality a huge influence in his designs. Ferre won the award for Best Italian Designer six times, as well as a Gold Medal from the City of Milan. It is no surprise that Ferre's unique styles and sophisticated designs be mirrored in his eyewear pieces.
The eyewear collection presented by Gianfranco Ferre vary in styles and colors, but you can see the same repetition of smooth and clean lines within each piece. There are large oversized frames that have been seen on the runway, as well as simple metal frames that you can wear everyday. If acetate plastic is your preference then there are a variety of colors to choose from, depending on your style. The eyewear collection can be worn by both men and women, and are said to last for years to come. All of the pieces have been made with high quality materials and have been handcrafted in Milan. The eyewear ranges in price from 95 pounds to 125 pounds.
