Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses

Roberto Cavalli was born in 1940 in Florence. Part of an artistic family, Roberto decided to enter the world of design at 17 when he attended the Institute of Art of Florence. The designs on his sunglasses

will remind you of leopards, zebras, and pythons. His sunglass collection has been around for several years on the top of the want list and today you find his original ideas still being produced in the unisex and female collection. The 2008 collection is comprised of 132 items. The price tags on the sunglasses will vary from 100 pounds to over 200 pounds. The material used combined with the comfort and quality make the expense worth it.

The first on the list is Fedra. Fedra offers elongated oval sunglasses with a unique frame. The frame is a thin metal that actually has a circular piece at the side missing from the frame and lens. The bridge is half between the widths of the lenses to sit high on the nose. The side pieces are on the lower portion of the lenses offering a thin material that gently curves around the ear. Fedra is a style that is not copied anywhere else.

Orfeo is a female style like the model above, but it is definitely distinctive. You have rounded lenses in a thicker frame. The frame wraps around the side with the metal to provide side protection. The nose pieces are adjustable. From the thick metal piece on the side comes a branch like style that leads to one protected metal piece to curve around the ears.

This style is a little different from Orione which has the zig zag branch style and larger rounded lenses. Each of the styles offers something slightly unique with the polarized lenses. The lenses can be round or close to rectangular as well.
